How to measure your pet
Getting the fit right matters more than the size label. Grab a soft measuring tape (or a piece of string and a ruler) and take these two measurements.
Chest (girth) — for harnesses
Measure around the widest part of your pet's chest, just behind the front legs. Keep the tape snug but not tight — you should be able to slide two fingers underneath.
Neck — for collars
Measure around the base of the neck where a collar would naturally sit. Again, leave room for two fingers.
Choosing a size
- Check the measurement ranges listed on each product page — they vary by product.
- If your pet falls between two sizes, choose the larger one.
- For puppies and kittens still growing, expect to size up within a few months.
- Breed is a rough guide at best. Two dogs of the same breed can need different sizes — always go by the measurement.
