Size

A bed that sits off the floor solves three problems at once: it stays cool in summer, it keeps a dog off cold tile and wet patios, and there is nothing for hair and dust to sink into.

Why you'll love it

  • Air moves underneath and through — the taut mesh is why hot dogs and thick-coated breeds pick this over a padded bed from about May onwards
  • Off the ground — no wicking damp from a patio, balcony or garage floor, and no draught along the skirting board indoors
  • Steel frame with rounded corners that holds tension instead of sagging into a hammock after a month
  • Non-slip feet so it stays put on tile and decking
  • Wipes clean in seconds — hose it down outdoors, dries in minutes
  • Takes seconds to break down and pack flat for the car or the campsite

Choosing a size

Sizes are given by dog weight, which is the honest way to size a cot — it is load-bearing, not just floor area. Dogs sprawl on an elevated bed rather than curl, so give them room to stretch out.

Size Suits dogs
10–20 kg Small and medium dogs, and cats
25–35 kg Medium to large dogs
35–50 kg Large dogs
50–65 kg Giant breeds

If your dog sits between two brackets, size up — a cot that is slightly too big is comfortable, one that is slightly too small is not. Unsure? Email us their weight and length and we will confirm.

Specifications

  • Frame: steel with rounded corners and non-slip feet
  • Surface: breathable tensioned mesh
  • Use: indoors and outdoors
  • Colour: black
  • Sizes: four, by dog weight from 10 kg to 65 kg

Care

Wipe or hose the mesh and let it air dry. Hand wash only — do not machine wash the mesh, and do not put the frame anywhere near a dishwasher. Check the frame joints every few months.

Good to know

An elevated cot is a summer and outdoor bed. In winter most dogs will want something padded and enclosed instead — pair it with a covered bed and let them choose.
